Santa Fe County Public Safety Recruitment Day
Santa Fe, NM- August 3, 2012 - The Santa Fe County Human Resources Division in collaboration with the Public Safety Department and Sheriff’s Office, will host a Public Safety Recruitment Day on Saturday, August 11 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Santa Fe County Fairgrounds, 3229 Rodeo Rd. The Recruitment Day will be an opportunity for individuals to join staff from the Sherriff’s Office, Corrections Department, Fire Department and Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC/911) to see if they have what it takes to be a part of the Public Safety team.
The Human Resources Division will have applications available on site for all vacant Public Safety positions. The Sherriff’s Office and Fire Department will have mock recruitment tests so individuals can test their physical agility levels and needs for different positions. Corrections will have employees demonstrating defensive tactics and answering questions about the correctional field. The Regional Emergency Communication Center will have the actual employment test. Individuals who pass the RECC test will have an opportunity to schedule an interview for a later date.
Individuals applying for positions at the event will need to bring a copy of their High School Diploma or equivalent and their drivers license. Individuals participating in the mock physical agility tests are reminded to wear appropriate clothing (shorts, t-shirt, sweat pants, tennis shoes).
