The County Wins Big in Pound for Pound Fight Against Hunger – 654 Pounds Collected!

Santa Fe County recently participated in the 7th Annual Neighbor to Neighbor Food Drive benefiting The Food Depot and won the "Business" category with most food collected, at 654 pounds.

A big "Thank you" to County staff and community members for your participation and help in stamping out hunger.

“It was so exciting to see the yellow barrels overflowing with items and the abundance of food that was collected in Santa Fe County,” said Lucy Foma, Community Planner with Santa Fe County.

Hunger is a growing crisis in Northern New Mexico. It is often hidden, but it affects one of every six people and one of every four children in our state.
