Santa Fe County Fair BoardSanta Fe County Fair Board ORDINANCE 1986-6 and 1987-4 CREATING A SANTA FE COUNTY FAIR ASSOCIATION BOARD Mission of Committees Purpose: Committee Members: Shawn Thompson, Tom Spindle, Natalie Baca, Gary Runner, Michael Dobesh, Lisa Frybarger, Lisa Gustin, Terri Werner, and Kareen Reyer Terms of Each Member: Bio of each member: Tom Spindle – He is a lifetime resident of Southern Santa Fe County having grown up in Edgewood and later moving to Stanley as an adult. Mr. Spindle grew up being involved in the Santa Fe County 4-H and Moriarty FFA programs. He continues to be involved in the program as a 4-H Project Leader. Spindle is a full time rancher, has been serving on the SFC Fair Board and the Estancia Basin Water Board for the past three years and is past Chairman of the New Mexico Beef Council. Natalie Baca – She has been a secretary and contributing member of the Fair Board for five years. In addition to raising a 4-H family, Mrs. Baca brings her expertise in graphic design and marketing to promote the Fair. She has 25 years experience in graphic design and photography and currently is the graphic designer for the much-saluted New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe. Gary Runner – He is a native of Santa Fe and is self-employed electrical contractor. He has three boys that have been in the SFC 4-H program. He has been on the SFC Fair Board for over 10 years serving as Chairman for six of those years. Michael Dobesh - He was born and raised on a farm in eastern Nebraska where he grew up in the 4-H program for nine years as a youth. He attended veterinary school at Colorado State University, graduating in 1990. He has been employed at Smith Veterinary Hospital for the last 20 years, a business which he and his wife Kathy own. Lisa Frybarger – She has been serving on the SFC Fair Board for the last five years. Mrs. Frybarger and her family moved to the Santa Fe area 20 years ago from eastern Colorado. Aside from having served as an organizational 4-H Leader, she has also worked in the Santa Fe Public Schools as a Teaching Assistant. Both of her daughters have grown up in the Santa Fe County Lisa Gustin – She is a third grade teacher at the Moriarty-Edgewood School district and has been teaching for nine years. This is her first year on the fair board. She has served on the schools PTO’s for 10 years, both in elementary and middle school as well as on the New Mexico Taxidermy Board for five years. She has assisted as a 4-H Leader for about seven years and has been on several 4-H activity committees. Terri Werner – She is on her third year on the SFC Fair Board. She has been very involved with the 4-H Youth of Santa Fe County for the last nine years. She has served as the County Fair Horse Show Superintendent since 2005. She also serves as a co-coordinator for out Santa Fe County Fair Queen and Princess for the past few years. She loves to see our youth believe in themselves, grow in independence, and thrive with whatever their passion is. She finds it an Honor to serve as a member in Santa Fe County Fair Board. Kareen Reyer – She grew up in the 4-H program in five different states. She continues her involvement as a 4-H Project Leader in the Santa Fe County 4-H Program. She has been serving on the SFC Fair Board for almost seven years. She is currently employed by the McCurdy Schools and resides in Nambe.
