Santa Fe County, NM — Early voting is underway at the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office, where 303 voters have already cast their ballots. We’re grateful to Santa Fe County voters for turning out, and to our poll workers and Clerk’s Office team for their long hours preparing for a smooth first day of voting.

KidsVote gives children the chance to learn about democracy firsthand while their parents or guardians cast a ballot.
The Clerk’s Office Brings Clerk Clark’s Democracy 101 Program to ECO High School
Santa Fe County, NM — The Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is working hard to make sure young people feel empowered at the ballot box. On October 1, about 70 students at Early College Opportunities (ECO) High School received a hands-on lesson in democracy during a Democracy 101 presentation and mock election.

Santa Fe, NM — The Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is now accepting requests to bring KidsVote: Practice Makes Future Voters directly into classrooms for the 2026 school year. KidsVote is a hands-on civic education program that helps students learn how elections work in a fun, age-appropriate way. Through real tabulators and mock ballots featuring lighthearted questions, students experience the voting process while building confidence and curiosity about civic participation.
Santa Fe County Clerk Katharine E. Clark Announces Winners of the Santa Fe County Clerk’s 2025 “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest
Santa Fe County, NM —Clerk Katharine E. Clark and the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest. After receiving 57 submissions from students across Santa Fe County and nearly 400 votes using ranked choice voting from community members, three student-designed stickers were selected to be printed and distributed during upcoming elections.
Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office Brings Democracy 101 to Amy Biehl Community School Students
Santa Fe County, NM — The Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office visited Amy Biehl Community School this week to help prepare 3rd–6th graders for their upcoming student council elections. Clerk’s Office staff members Margaret Gouws and Vanessa Apodaca gave an age-friendly version of Clerk Katharine E. Clark’s Democracy 101 presentation, which is usually presented to high school audiences.
Santa Fe County Plans to Launch Vote by Appointment, the First Program of Its Kind in New Mexico
Santa Fe County, NM — In partnership with Tyler Tech, the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is pioneering Vote by Appointment, a new option that lets voters schedule a specific time and location to cast a ballot during early voting at four locations across the county. This is the first rollout of its kind in New Mexico. The goal is simple: make voting easier, reduce wait times, and help more residents participate in the 2025 Regular Local Election and beyond.
Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office Partners with League of Women Voters and Capital High to Train Students in Voter Registration
Santa Fe County, NM — The Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office, in collaboration with the League of Women Voters and Capital High School, recently held a Voter Registration Agent (VRA) training for a group of six Capital High School students. The training prepares students, who will soon lead their own voter registration drive on campus for fellow students, teachers, and staff.
Voting Now Open in Santa Fe County “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest
SANTA FE, NM — The Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is pleased to announce that submissions are now closed for the 2025 “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest – and now it’s the public’s turn to vote for the winners. This year, we received 57 entries from students across the county. A review panel at the Clerk’s Office selected the top 10 finalists—a difficult task given the creativity on display—to advance to a public vote.
