Dear Santa Fe County Residents,
We understand the frustration you may be experiencing with the closure of the Tesuque Solid Waste Convenience Center to be effective June 30, 2022.  As the Convenience Center is located on tribal land, the County could not unilaterally decide to keep the Convenience Center open, no matter how popular the location is with its customers, since County does not own and cannot condemn land. The County is committed to helping customers transition and would like to provide the following information:

Solid waste permits and bag tags are accepted at any of the County’s other six Convenience Centers, including the two nearest locations to Tesuque, which are:

Jacona Transfer Station(10.4 Miles from Tesuque Transfer Station)

Nambe Transfer Station(16 Miles from Tesuque Transfer Station)
