The Santa Fe Regional Emergency Communications Center (RECC) was established on November 5, 2001, through a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) between the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County. The agreement has been amended twice, with the Town of Edgewood added as a party in the second amendment.

The RECC exists to provide centralized, efficient, and reliable emergency communications services to its partner agencies, enhancing coordinated public safety response across the region. Its mission is to deliver timely and professional communications that support first responders and protect the community. Its vision is to be a high performing regional communications center recognized for excellence, innovation, and strong partnerships.

The RECC Board provides oversight and strategic direction under the Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe County, and the Town of Edgewood, and advises their respective governing bodies.

The Board consists of eight members: the Police Chief, Fire Chief, and City Manager from the City of Santa Fe; the Sheriff, Fire Chief, and County Manager from Santa Fe County; the Police Chief from the Town of Edgewood; and one at-large member jointly selected by the City Manager, County Manager, and the Mayor of Edgewood.

2026 Meeting Schedule RECC Board meetings are scheduled for January 15, February 19, March 19, May 21, July 16, September 17, and November 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at 23 Camino Justicia in the RECC Conference Room.
