Warden Williams

The Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility is led by Warden Williams, who brings nearly three decades of experience in corrections. Warden Williams began his career with the New Mexico Corrections Department in 1997. Early in his career, he graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) and was assigned to the United States Penitentiary (USP) Leavenworth in Kansas with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Since 2005, he has held warden-level leadership positions, including assignments at the Valencia County Detention Center and the New Mexico State Penitentiary. In 2017, he joined Santa Fe County as Warden of the Adult Detention Facility. Throughout his career, Warden Williams has demonstrated a commitment to professional correctional leadership, institutional safety and security, and the effective operation of detention facilities.

 

Deputy Warden Wade Ellis

The Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility is supported by Deputy Warden Wade Ellis, who has dedicated more than 25 years of public service to Santa Fe County and the Adult Detention Facility. Deputy Warden Ellis began his corrections career at the facility in 2001 and has advanced through every level of the organization, serving as a Detention Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Training Coordinator, Captain, and now Deputy Warden. While serving at the Adult Detention Facility, Deputy Warden Ellis also served 27 years in the United States Army and Army Reserves. Before retiring from military service, he spent ten years teaching leadership and professional development courses, reinforcing his commitment to mentoring others and developing future leaders. Throughout his career, Deputy Warden Ellis has demonstrated a commitment to professional leadership, staff development, integrity, accountability, and the safe and effective operation of the detention facility.
