NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

June 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

The Board of County Commissioners (BCC) of Santa Fe County (County) will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., in the BCC Chambers located on the second floor of the John Gaw Meem Historic Building, 102 Grant Ave., Santa Fe, NM.

This special meeting is a prehearing conference to decide the date, time, location, and other procedural matters that will govern the BCC’s consideration of the consolidated appeals from the Planning Commission’s Final Order dated March 20, 2025, in Case No. 24-5200, Rancho Viejo Limited Partnership, Rancho Viejo Solar, LLC, AES Clean Energy Development, LLC, Applicants, Application for Conditional Use Permit (CUP). This is NOT the hearing on the merits. The public hearing on the merits of the consolidated appeals, during which all interested members of the public will be heard, will take place on a later date.

SPECIAL MEETING AGENDA

1. Opening Business
     A. Call to Order.
     B. Roll Call.

2. Prehearing Conference Concerning Appeals of Planning Commission’s Final Order dated March 20, 2025, in Case No. 24-5200, Rancho Viejo Limited Partnership, Rancho Viejo Solar, LLC, AES Clean Energy Development, LLC, Applicants, Application for Conditional Use Permit (CUP), Appeal Case Nos. 24-5201, 24-5202, 24-5203 and 24-5204.

3. Approval of an Order Governing Prehearing Procedure and Scheduling a Hearing on the Merits of the Consolidated Appeals from the Planning Commission’s Final Order. Case Nos. 24-5201, 24-5202, 24-5203 and 24-5204. (Action Item)* (The BCC may deliberate in Executive Session on this order before taking action, as allowed by NMSA 1978, Section 10-15-1(I)).

3. Concluding Business
      A. Adjournment. (Action Item)

At the prehearing conference, the BCC Chair will only recognize and allow to address the BCC the following: County staff, the Applicants, the parties recognized as having standing in the BCC Order, and persons requesting that the BCC recognize them as interested parties with standing.

Members of the public who want to let the BCC know their views on these consolidated appeals do NOT have to be recognized as interested parties with standing to do so. All members of the public will be provided an opportunity to submit written and oral comment when the BCC hears the merits of the consolidated appeals at date(s) and time(s) to be announced in the future.

ATTENDANCE AND WEBCASTING

The BCC strives to make its meetings accessible to the public through alternatives to in-person attendance, such as virtual meeting platforms and webcasting. However, the availability of those virtual meeting and webcasting alternatives is not guaranteed due to internet and other service disruptions and equipment failures, and duly noticed meetings may be held notwithstanding that those alternatives are unexpectedly unavailable. Members of the public assume the risk that they may be unable to participate in BCC meetings through such alternatives.
