Town Hall - Encantado Road Improvements

Santa Fe County will begin construction for the Encantado Road Improvements Project on May 4, 2026, along Encantado Road in District 5.

The project is expected to take approximately seven months to complete and includes paving the road and updating infrastructure to improve drainage and reduce flooding.

Residents are encouraged to attend a Town Hall to learn more about the project, anticipated impacts, and ask questions directly to the project team.

During construction, there may be periodic traffic impacts, including lane closures, temporary delays, and construction equipment operating within the project corridor. Property access will be maintained throughout construction; however, short-term interruptions may occur as work progresses.

Santa Fe County is committed to minimizing disruptions and will maintain clear communication and provide updates throughout the project. Letters have been mailed to residents along the project corridor to notify them of these updates.

Certain properties along Encantado Road may require Temporary Work Permits to allow the County and its contractor to perform limited construction activities needed to safely connect driveways, drainage improvements, and roadway connections to the road.

Tierra Right of Way Services, Ltd., working on behalf of Santa Fe County, will contact affected property owners directly to provide additional information and coordinate the permitting process.
