Turquoise Trail Bulk Water Station Ribbon Cutting

Join Santa Fe County for a ribbon cutting celebrating the recently completed Turquoise Trail Bulk Water Station. Guests are invited to gather at the Turquoise Trail Volunteer Fire Station for refreshments and information about the project.

The new station provides a reliable source of potable water for residential customers who are outside the Santa Fe County Utilities service area. Construction began in June 2025 and was completed in May 2026, two months ahead of schedule.

The approximately $4.3 million project was funded by the American Rescue Plan Act and included the expansion of water pipelines along New Mexico State Road 14.

The station is available to authorized customers 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It features automated access, live metering and remote monitoring. Customers must establish a Santa Fe County Utilities residential bulk water account before using the station.

How to Set Up a Residential Bulk Water Account

Visit the Santa Fe County Utilities Division Office at 424 New Mexico Highway 599, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Offices are closed on holidays and weekends.

Applicants must provide:

• Valid photo identification, such as a driver’s license, state identification card or military identification.
• Proof of residential address, such as a current utility bill, property tax statement or lease agreement.
• Payment for the application fee and prepaid water by check, cashier’s check or money order. Cash is not accepted. Credit and debit card payments are available for a fee after the account is created.

Current residential rates and fees:

• $18 application fee
• $0.01 per gallon
• $25 insufficient-funds fee for returned checks
