Agua Fría Wastewater Project Phase 3 begins

SANTA FE, N.M., Nov. 2, 2026—Santa Fe County is beginning phase three of the Agua Fría Wastewater Project, a five-phase project, with phases one and two completed. Staging for construction has already begun, and message boards are being placed in the area to notify residents of the upcoming work.

Construction begins this month and continues through summer of 2027. Residents on affected streets will be contacted prior to construction.

This project is funded by New Mexico Environment Department grants to provide sewer infrastructure to the residents in the Agua Fría Village so that they can connect to these services rather than using failing and outdated septic systems. Once completed, the project will service 37 streets.

Phase three will cover ten streets: Avenida De Sesario, Alamo Lane, Lopez Lane, 3945 Agua Fría Street, Ledd Drive, Camino dos Antonios, Cellejon De Rita, Plaza Montoya, Case Road, 3917 Agua Fría Street, Skeeter Lane.

The map of the streets and the proposed schedule of work are below. All dates and the order of construction are subject to change.
