City Offers Safety Escort to and from Downtown Parking Structures
The City of Santa Fe Parking Division and Chavez Security announced today, Thursday,
May 31, 2007, that between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., a Chavez Security patrol
officer will provide escort service to any female to and from city-operated parking lots
and downtown establishments.
The Parking Division and Chavez Security are offering this service in light of the recent
crimes and incidences of sexual assault against women. The City of Santa Fe currently
has a Chavez Security patrol officer on the payroll who will respond to calls for this
service.
Any female in need of this service is encouraged to call 204-4269.
Again, the offer is available to any female who is parked in a city-operated parking lot
and needs an escort to or from their vehicle to a downtown area establishment between
the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
