County Offices Closed for Juneteenth: A Time for Reflection and Solidarity

Santa Fe, NM- In honor of Emancipation Day in the United States and its ideals of freedom and equity for all, Santa Fe County announces the closure of its administrative offices on Thursday, June 19, in observation of Juneteenth's "Freedom Day."

All Senior Centers will be closed, and extra home-delivered meals will be provided to eligible seniors prior to the closure. All Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed, while essential services provided by Public Safety will continue as usual. Regular business hours for administrative offices will resume on Friday, June 20, 2025.

On this day, may we take a moment to honor the ongoing liberation struggle—and recognize that true solidarity begins with empathy, reflection, and the understanding that we each have a moral responsibility to co-create a more just and equitable world.
