SANTA FE, N.M., Aug. 21, 2026—Due to increased containment on the western perimeter of the Frijoles Fire, the GO evacuation status has been lifted for Camino de Cañon in Cundiyó, and residents may return to the area.

All of the Cundiyó and Cerro Piñon communities are now in SET status, which means residents should remain vigilant and ready to evacuate if conditions change.

The Borrego Mesa area on and around Forest Roads 440 and 306 remain in SET status, which means be ready to leave. This is an uninhabited area with forest closures in effect, and visitors should avoid the area.

Nambé Pueblo Lake and Falls Recreation Area remains in READY status, which means to be prepared for possible evacuations.

There are no evacuation orders at this time for Santa Fe County.

Residents should be prepared in case conditions change. Gather essential items; make a plan to leave if evacuation orders are issued.
