Santa Fe County Announces Maintenance Work at Nambe Dam

Santa Fe, NM - Santa Fe County would like to inform residents in District 1 that maintenance work will be conducted at Nambe Dam on Friday, November 7, 2025, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The work is expected to take approximately four (4) hours.

During this time, water levels may temporarily rise, and there could be increased water flow downstream. Residents are advised to use caution near roads, low-water crossings, and areas close to the river and irrigation channels.

This scheduled maintenance supports the continued safety and proper operation of the dam. Santa Fe County appreciates the public’s cooperation and awareness during this work.

Impacted Communities:

  • Nambe Pueblo
  • Pojoaque Pueblo
  • Jacona
  • Jaconita
  • San Ildefonso

River flows are not expected to cause flooding but could be deep and swift enough to make river crossings unsafe. Please take precautions.

A map and further details will be provided later today.

Thank you for your attention and support.
