Santa Fe County Clerk Launches Community Advisory Boards to Expand Access to County Services
SANTA FE, NM —The Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is proud to announce the creation of five new community advisory boards to improve public access, equity, and responsiveness across the full range of Clerk’s Office services — from records and marriage licenses to elections and probate.
As part of Clerk Katharine E. Clark’s commitment to inclusive and transparent governance, these advisory boards will serve as a direct line between the Clerk’s Office and historically underserved or underrepresented communities. Each board will provide ongoing feedback to the Clerk’s Office, identify barriers to access, and collaborate on strategies to ensure that county services are accessible, culturally competent, and community informed.
The newly established advisory boards are:
- Youth Engagement Advisory Board
- Spanish Language Access Advisory Board
- Native Advisory Board
- Disability Access Advisory Board
- Veterans’ Services Advisory Board
Each board will meet quarterly and focus on strengthening public outreach, improving communications, and advising on service delivery practices that reflect the diverse needs of Santa Fe County residents.
“These boards reflect our core belief that every resident — no matter their age, background, ability, or identity — deserves a government that listens and adapts,” said Clerk Katharine E. Clark. “This isn’t just about voting. These are long-term partnerships to improve the daily experience people have with our office — from recording documents to getting a marriage license to accessing historical land records.”
