Santa Fe County creative businesses receive $97,819 in State grant funding
SANTA FE, N.M., May 12, 2026—Santa Fe County’s Economic Development division celebrates four Santa Fe County business that received funding through the New Mexico Creative Industries Division’s Development Business and Expansion Grants.
Creative businesses in New Mexico will share nearly $245,000 in State grant money to help improve operations, expand their reach and build long-term stability, with $97,819 going to businesses in Santa Fe County. Creative businesses use creative means such as design, production, culture or crafts to turn original ideas, artistic talent and innovation into products or services that create economic value.
These Business Development & Expansion Grants are the second batch of awards during fiscal year 2026. Grant applicants represent a wide range of creative disciplines, regions, and stages of growth.
Santa Fe County’s Economic Development division provides technical assistance to help companies apply for grants like these. The County identified creative businesses as one of its four target industries to support in its business development strategy.

Congratulations to the following businesses:
- Art Eclipse LLC (Cerrillos), awarded $24,000. Seftel Gallery will renovate a historic blacksmith shed into secure art storage and workspace, along with targeted marketing. The project will increase production, protect inventory, and strengthen the gallery’s role as a rural arts destination.
- Cynthia Jones Jewelry (Santa Fe), awarded $24,020. The company will invest in materials and upgrade its online platform to improve production, streamline ordering, and support continued growth.
- Tumbleroot Pottery Pub (Santa Fe), awarded $24,880. Tumbleroot will invest in café upgrades and marketing to expand hours, create jobs, and offer more hands-on arts experiences.
- Light Styles of Santa Fe, LLC (Pojoaque), awarded $24,919. The business will purchase new equipment and redesign its website to increase production and improve customer experience.
