Solid Waste at No Charge with Permit

April 22, 2020 SANTA FE, NM

Santa Fe County continues to find ways to help county residents during the COVID-19 public health emergency. On Monday, April 20, 2020 County Manager Katherine Miller signed into effect a Notice of Action, calling for all punches on solid waste punch cards to end until further notice.

County staff will continue to document visitor’s names, valid punch card numbers, vehicle license plate numbers, confirm county residency, and follow all other laws, rules, and regulations at the Collection Centers. Please note, all centers have limited the number of vehicles allowed on the tipping floor and in the recycling center at a time, only one trip per day per resident is allowed, and punch cards are nontransferable and must be presented by the owner of the card. Bag Tags are not affected by this change.

If necessary, punch cards can be purchased by county residents Monday thru Friday at the Public Works Departmentfrom 10 a.m. to noon, the Treasurer’s Officeat the Administrative Complex by appointment only, and the Pojoaque and Edgewood satellite officeson Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. Public Works and the satellite offices will not accept cash or cards, all payments must be in the form of a check or money order. Santa Fe County understands the economic impact some residents may be facing at this time, and continues to assist in relief when possible.
