RESOLUTION NO. 2012-149 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE SANTA FE COUNTY CORRECTIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Santa Fe County Corrections Advisory Committee will consist of 10 voting members appointed by the Santa Fe Board of County Commissioners (BCC). Committee members are volunteers appointed by the BCC to assist both the BCC and Santa Fe County Corrections Department staff.

Representation

The committee will consist of one member from each of the following areas of expertise:

  • Mental Health Community
  • Medical/Substance Abuse Treatment Community
  • League of Women Voters
  • Public Defender's Office
  • District Attorney's Office
  • Legal Community
  • Immigrant Advocacy Community
  • Homeless Shelter Advocacy Community
  • At Large Member who is an active participant in the group referred to as the brown bag group, currently meeting informally to ensure open communications between the judiciary and the staff of the Facilities
  • At Large Representative from any commission district

The Committee may hold up to six meetings annually.
