Video Visitation: Off-Site

Off-site video visitation is provided by TechFriends, a third-party vendor. This service allows family and friends with internet access to schedule video visits with individuals being held at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Video Visitation: On-Site

On-site, non-contact visitation is conducted at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility free of charge. Each inmate may receive up to two visits per week.

All visitors are subject to screening before entering the facility. Visitors who have been incarcerated at SFCADF within the past year are not eligible to visit.

Special Management Unit

Inmates in Disciplinary or PHD status may receive one visit per week for on-site or off-site visitation.

Important Notice: The Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility reserves the right to deny or cancel visitation if visitors do not follow established rules and regulations. Visits may also be canceled during emergency lockdowns or other facility incidents.

  • Driver’s license
  • Military identification
  • Passport
  • Federal or state agency identification
  • Immigration card

Items Allowed During On-Site Visits

All other personal items must be left in your vehicle. The front desk will not hold personal items.

  • Identification card or driver’s license
  • Keys to your vehicle
  • One diaper for each hour of visitation
  • One blanket no larger than 4 ft. by 4 ft.
  • One container of baby wipes
  • One small tube of diaper rash medication
  • One clear baby bottle
  • One baby carrier per infant; strollers or carriers on wheels are not allowed

Visitation Conduct

  • Visitors and inmates must remain quiet, orderly, and respectful.
  • Abusive language toward staff is prohibited.
  • Adults must maintain proper control of children while on facility property.
  • Visitors may only visit one inmate per visit.
  • Sexual misconduct or nudity is prohibited.
  • Visitors may not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Possession or display of drugs, alcohol, or drug paraphernalia is prohibited.
  • Visitors are not allowed to remain in their vehicles, loiter, or smoke in the facility parking lot.

Violations may result in termination of the visit and possible suspension from future visitation.

  • 1st infraction: 30-calendar-day suspension
  • 2nd infraction: 6-month suspension
  • 3rd infraction: Indefinite visitation ban
