“This will be the third year I’ve served in this capacity” said Commissioner Montoya “I’m there to make sure New Mexico’s Counties have a voice in what happens at the national level.”

NACo will be hosting over 3,000 County officials on July 13 – 17 at its annual conference in Richmond, Virginia.

About NACo -The National Association of Counties (NACo) is the only national organization that represents county governments in the United States. Founded in 1935, NACo provides essential services to the nation’s 3,066 counties. NACo advances issues before the federal government, improves the public's understanding of county government, assists counties in finding and sharing innovative solutions through education and research, and provides value-added services to save counties and taxpayers money. NACo's membership totals more than 2,000 counties, representing over 80 percent of the nation's population.

About NMAC -Since 1936, New Mexico counties have been meeting to address concerns and collaborate on initiatives. In 1966, NMAC was founded to equally represent the interests of all New Mexico counties through dedicated elected county officials.
