Earth Day 2023

Santa Fe County is sponsoring a special educational event at the County Fairgrounds to celebrate Earth Day! Learn from rainwater harvesting experts, help put the finishing touches on a new rain garden, get answers to your gardening questions from Master Gardeners, enjoy live music, and learn about local sustainability initiatives


Where: Santa Fe County Fairgrounds, 3229 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87507

When: April 22, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Schedule:
(Subject to Change)

  • 9:00 - 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast snacks & refreshments
  • 9:30 - 10:20 a.m.: Presentations from The RainCatcher inc. & Santa Fe Extension Master Gardeners
  • 10:20 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Hands-on gardening activities & live music

Representatives
from Santa Fe County and community organizations will be sharing resources and activities at tables throughout the event (9:00 12:00)!

What to bring: Come dressed to spend the morning outdoors learning and gardening! Please bring a reusable water bottle or mug if you have one. You are encouraged to bring gardening gloves and wear long pants and closed toed shoes if you will be participating in any gardening activities.

Safety:
Participants (adult and youth) will be required to sign a waiver at the event before participating in any gardening activities.

Participants are expected to adhere to COVID 19 guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and New Mexico Department of Health regarding social distancing and use of masks. Please stay home if you are not feeling well or have recently been exposed to COVID 19.
