Charged:  ,Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, Driving While License Suspended or

                   Revoked, No Seat Belt, Warrant - Failure to Pay Fines

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:43 the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the  location attempting to negotiate a left curve.  For reason(s) unknown the suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the  right side striking a guard rail.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico driver's license is suspended.  The suspect was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.  A check with the National Crime Information Center revealed that there was an active Arrest Warrant for suspect issued by the Eddy County Magistrate Court for Failure to Pay Fines

Victim:  Male, 23, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Augustine Rivera, 39, Rodera, NM

Charged:  Aggravated Battery

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:31 AM the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the location;  The altercation turned physical when the suspect struck the victim left side of his head with a beer bottle.  The victim sustained a minor injury and declined medical attention.


Case#:  0213014048/ Driving on a Suspended-Revoked Driver’s License, Improper Plate, No Insurance/ Date:  9/6/13

Location:  US 84-285 mm 177, Santa Fe, NM (Pojoaque)

Suspect:  Betty Vigil, age 49, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Driving on a Revoked Driver's License, Improper plate, No Insurance

On 9/6/13 deputy conducted a traffic stop in which the vehicle was displaying a wrong plate.  It was determined that the driver has a revoked driver's license as per the arrest clause.  Driver did not have insurance for the vehicle.  Driver was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  The vehicle was seized as per Santa Fe County Ordinance.


Case#:0213013984/DWI, Careless Driving, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor/Date: 09-05-2013

Location: Calle Lucia, Santa Fe, NM (Airport Road Area)

Arrested: Keith Lestrange 21 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a motor vehicle crash at approximately 6:46p.m. Deputies observed a green in color Subaru Outback which appeared to be in a rollover crash.  Upon contact with the driver he was found to be intoxicated.  The passenger a minor was also found to be intoxicated.  The above was arrested.

Location:  4700 block of West Alameda, Santa Fe, NM

On 9/5/13 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a larceny.  Victim stated that on 9/2/13 an acquaintance had unlawfully entered her property and stole (4) 22" rims and tires from the carport area.  Estimated value of the items taken is $1000.00.


Case#:  0213013992/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date:  9/5/13

Location:  residence off of Zachary Lane, Edgewood, NM

On 9/5/13 deputy responded to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that suspects gained entry into his residence between 7:15 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. through the front door.  Victim stated that unknown suspects stole misc. US Currency from within.  Estimated amount of items taken is pending.  Estimated damage amount is $1000.00.


0213013942, Unlawful Carrying of a Deadly Weapon, 9/5/13

Location: West Alameda/ Placita De Oro

Suspect: Thomas F. Murray  Age: 69  Santa Fe

Thomas Murray was arrested for carrying a concealed deadly weapon, A 4 inch bladed Buck Knife after it was reported that he was threatening County personnel at 901 west Alameda St. regarding the use of open space land. He was booked without further incident.


0213013934 Criminal Damage to Property

Location: Casa Rufina Apts (Rufina area)

Damaged: Damage to vehicle Paint

On this date Victim stated between 1:00 am and 7:30 am some unknown suspect(s) damaged his vehicle. Unknown suspect(s) sprayed painted the vehicle with red paint of male gentile parts on the windows mirrors, doors. also the taillights, headlights. The vehicle was also keyed/scratched on both sides.

The damage was reported to be about $1,000.00

Location:  200 block of Camino de Rincon, Santa Fe, NM (Pojoaque)

On 9/4/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that between 8/27/13 and 9/4/13 unknown persons entered his property and gained entry into several of his vehicles.  Victim stated that unknown persons took several car batteries from within the vehicles.  Estimated value of items taken is $415.00.

Victim reported to the Deputy that sometime between September 3, 2013 at 4:00 pm and September 4, 2013 at 9:30 am unknown persons gained unauthorized access to his property and stole the listed types of items. Case is currently under investigation.
