On 05/09/2011 victim reported between the hours of 3:30pm and 5:30pm unknown suspects gained entry into their residence by breaking one of the rear windows.  Nothing was reported stolen from within the residence.  A witness observed a faded maroon or pink in color Toyota Tercel with two males and two females leaving the area.

Items stolen: 50 musiic CD's, prescription medications, chain saw, drill, socket set, dremel tool, Con Air hair triming kit and 2 diamonds. Value: $3000.00

Suspect: Pending

    On 05/09/2011 victim reported she invited a friend into her home on Mothers Day to have dinner.  The friend spent the night and was gone the next morning before the victim woke up.  When the victim woke up they noticed the above items had been stolen from within the residence.

Suspect: Pending

    On 05/09/2011 victim reported on Sunday May 8th while attending noon mass at the Santuario De Chimayo Church, someone  entered her vehicle and stole a TomTom GPS and her check book.  The case is under investigation.


0211006301 / Aggravated assault against a household member with the intent to commit a felony to wit; Murder / 05-07-2011

Arrested: David Arellanes       Age: 24        Santa Fe,NM

Victim reported to Sheriffs Deputies that  they and the listed person had becoame involved in a physical argument after he picked the victim up from work. Victim stated that the suspect pulled the victims hair and started to choke the victim. The victim stated that they fought back causing the suspect to sustain injury. The victim reported that the suspect then armed himself with a handgun and chambered a bullet and placing the gun to the temple of the victim. A fight ensued for the gun and victim was able to get clip to gun and toss bullets. Victim stated that suspect drove them home without further incident. Above suspect was located at hhis home and was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with crimes related to incident.


0211006332, Abuse of a child, Burglary, DWI, Larceny, Criminal Damage, Open Container, 05-08-2011

Charges: Abuse of a child, Burglary, DWI (felony), Criminal Damage, Larceny, Open Container, Driving while suspended/revoked

Arrested: Andronico Gurule, 29yoa Male, Hernandez NM

Suspect was observed operating his vehicle at a high rate of speed at the above address.  Suspect stopped at a residence in county housing and proceeded to kick in the front door with his four year old daughter next to him.  Suspect entered the residence and took a small breed black Chihuahua K-9.  Upon exiting the residence Cpl. M. Martinez detained the suspect.  Suspect was found to be intoxicated and operating the vehicle with a suspended/revoked  drivers license and an open container.  Suspect was arrested and booked without  incident and the daughter was released to her mother.

Location:  Hyde Park Road, Santa Fe, NM (near the Ski Basin)

On 5/8/11 victim reported that sometime between 1430 and 1600 hours unknown supect broke the passenger window of a 2011 Chevrolet Impala black in color with an unknown object.  Suspect then stole a black purse, an Apple I-phone, and $30.00 cash.  The vehicle was parked and was unattended.  Estimated value of items taken is $630.00.  Estimated damage amount is $500.00.


Case#:  0211006324/ Unlawful taking of a Motor Vehicle/ Date:  05//08/11

Location:  residence off of La Mesita Ranch Road, Santa Fe, NM (Pojoaque)

On 5/7/11 at 2030 hours and 5/8/11 at 1500 hours a 2006 GMC pickup was unlawfully taken from the above location,  Victim stated that she parked her vehicle near the horse stables and left the keys in the vehicle.  Victim stated that she received 2 messages from a male subject who stated to move her vehicle and when she returned home she found the vehicle missing.  BIA located the vehicle on tribal land but a suspect was not located.  Estimated value of vehicle is $39,000.00.


Case#:  0211006329/ Aggravated Battery on a household member, Resisting or obstructing an officer/ Date:  05/08/11

Location:  6 Lola Ct., Edgewood, NM (Edgewood)

Suspect: Leah Bailey, age 32, Edgewood, NM

Charged:  Aggravated Battery on a household member, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer

On 5/8/11 victim stated that suspect woke him up and argued with him.  Victim stated  suspect threw a glass at him in which it missed and broke against the wall.  Suspect then grabbed a piece of shard glass and dug it into his right upper shoulder.   Victim stated that suspect also grabbed a hammer and hit him on his left upper thigh.  Victim then left the scene to contact law enforcement.  Suspect then became aggressive with law enforcement.  Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.


0211006273, Forgery, 05-08-2011

Suspect: Under Investigation

Victim reported that on vacation a person she had house sitting at her residence obtained two of her checks.  The checks were forged in the amounts of $100 and $1000 and signed by someone other than the victim.  Case is under investigation.

Location:  200 block of Dinkle Road, Edgewood, NM (Edgewood)

On 5/6/11 deputy was dispatched to above address.  Upon meeting with victim, he stated that on 5/3/11 his shed door was damaged.  He stated that he noticed this date the handle to the shed had been tampered with and observed that his Craftsman air compressor and Craftsman 16" chainsaw missing.  Estimated value of items taken is $750.00.  No further damage was done.
