The above juvenile was being escorted from the District Court. He was being placed in a Sheriff's Unit when he ran from Deputies. He was apprehended a short time and a short distance away.

Driver was stopped for a seatbelt violation. Driver's vehicle was required to have a interlock device, but did not. Driver was then arrested for driving while license suspended or revoked.

Location of Incident: Camino Debra at SR599 West Frontage Road
Arrested: Michael R. Madison, 47 yoa, Santa Fe, NM
The above named individual drove his vehicle straddling the center line on State Road 599 at/near the intersection of the West Frontage Road. The defendant did not utilize turn signal use and was stopped. The defendant attempted to conceal the odor of alcoholic beverages both inside his vehicle and on his person by spraying a large quantity of cologne on his person and the vehicle interior. The defendant also attempted to mask the odor of alcohol by placing an object into his mouth. The defendant admitted to consuming several beers and was subsequently tested and arrested for DWI, Careless Driving and other violations.
