A male individual reported to Dispatch that the above named individual stole a 2005 Hyundai Accent, from the victim's residence while the victim was sleeping. The investigation revealed that the suspect was knocking at the victim's residence demandign entry. The victim chose to ignore the suspect and went to bed. The suspect entered the residence via an unlocked front door and stole the keys to said vehicle and stole two credit cards from inside the residence. The suspect then used the credit cards to purchase a meal at Denny's restaurant and made other purchases in town. The suspect was found sleeping inside the stolen vehicle at the suspect's residence. The suspect was arrested and found in possession of the stolen credit cards and the victim's wallet. He was booked accrodingly into the county jail.

Charges: Transfering/Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, Poss Controlled Substance (Herion), Poss Drug Paraphernalia
On 10/10/07 the victim located his vehicle which he had reported stolen to the Santa Fe City Police. Deputies were able to respond and stop the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and upon being searched a small amount of suspected herion, a pipe and several needles were found in his possession. The suspect was booked into the adult detention center without incident. The vehicle was released to the owner.

On 10/10/07 between 7:20am and 6:45pm the suspect forced entry into the victims storage shed. Taken was a rubbermaid container valued at $30.00. The case is still under investigation.
007008038 Kidnapping/Criminal Sexual Penitration/Robbery 10-10-07

Location: 2300 Block of Camino Capitan
On the above date, victim reported being abducted from the above location and forced into a vehicle. Unknown supect(s) then drove victim to a residence in the area of Las Estrellas Rd. The victim was forced into the residence where one of the suspects sexually assaulted her at gun-point. The suspect(s) also robbed the victim of her cash totalling approximately $120.00. The victim was later able to escape from the home where she ran to a neighboring home and called law enforcement. Detctives are following up on leads regarding vague statements made from the victim.

The defendant was stopped for failing to obey a traffic control device. The defendant was found to be impaired by alcoholic beverages. He was arrested and submitted to chemical testing, the results were .15 and .14. He was booked accordingly into the County Jail.

Victim reports while driving his Semi(Freightliner) northbound on Hwy 14 milepost 41 an object that appears to have been a bullet broke through his windshield. No injuries were reported. case is under investigation.

Location: Interstate 25 Northbound Mile Marker 278
Arrested: Jose Luis Tapia, 18 yoa, Santa Fe, NM
Numerous 911 calls were received reporting a wrong way driver on Interstate 25 at mile marker 278. Sheriff's Deputies responded to the area and shut down travel ramps and traffic on the interstate to enable the interception of the wrong way driver that was caught traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway.
The driver was identified as Jose Luis Tapia and was found to be consuming whiskey while driving. The suspect stated that he was attempting to follow a friend on the interstate and decided to turn around. The suspect then drove the wrong way into traffic for several miles, until he was stopped by Officers.
No one was injured and the suspect was arrested and submitted to chemical testing. The BAC results were .16 and .15. He was booked accordingly.
