Incident Location: US 84/285, exit 177

Person Arrested: Cesar Caldera, 41 year old male.

On the aforementioned date, Deputies conducted a traffic stop for moving violations.  Upon further contact with the driver, it was revealed that he had an active warrant for his arrest out of Glenwood Springs, Colorado for a Larceny charge.  The above listed male subject was arrested and transported to the adult detention center where he was charged and booked without incident. 


0217016360, Identity theft, 11-1-2017

Location: 7000 Old Santa Fe Trail, Santa Fe, NM

Victim stated he received an email on 8-19-2017 posing as a paypal helps, which the victim has an account requesting to resubmit her full name, credit card account, social security number and mailing address.  Victim submitted the requested information.  Victim learned later that her credit card was used, but transaction was declined.  Case is under investigation.


02170 6350, Burglary/Larceny, 11-1-2017

Location: 100 Block of Straight Street (WALDO CANYON)

Items Taken: HP Laptop, Computer bad, C.B. radio, 2 way radio, air compressor, jet pack internet, laptop cooling fan, HP printer, OKI printer (Total value $1785.00)

 

Complainant reported unknown suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the building sometime between 10-31-2017 at 4pm and today's date around 5am through an unlocked door and stole the above mentioned items. Case is under investigation.

Charges: Santa Fe County Magistrate Court Bench Warrant

On 11-01-17 the above individual was booked on an outstanding bench warrant, charging him with failing to comply with conditions of release. The warrant was issued by Judge D. Sena on 11-01-17. Individual was booked without incident. The original charge on the warrant was Driving While License Revoked.

On todays date, Ortiz was served and rebooked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center on a district court bench warrant. Original charge is Battery Upon a Peace Officer. No further information at this time.

Items Taken: $1000 (In Cash)

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference inference to a larceny.  Deputies made contact with victim who advised that $1000 in cash were taken from her purse.  Victim indicated that she was unsure when the money was taken. No suspects identified at this time.  


0217016335-Death Investigation-10/31/17

Victim: 80 Year Old Male

Deputies responded to the Rio en Medio area in reference to a male not breathing. Medics arrived on scene and confirmed no signs of life. OMI investigator arrived and no foul play is suspected.


0217016323-Driving While License Revoked-10/31/17

Suspect: Ana Serano (31)

On Tuesday October 31, 2017 I ran a check on a license plate which returned to the suspect. The return showed the suspect had a revoked driver’s license with the arrest clause. I confirmed the registered owner was driving the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. I made contact with the suspect who stated she had her ignition interlock but did not have the money to get her interlock license. The suspect was arrested and the vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance 2013-05. The suspect was booked accordingly.


0217016311 / Unlawful Taking of Motor Vehicle, Larceny / 10-31-17

Location: Calle Orilla

Stolen: 2003 Toyota Corolla, $400

Victim reported between 10/30/2017 and 10/31/2017 unknown suspect(s) stole the vehicle from his driveway.  Also inside the vehicle was his wallet with $400.  Case is under investigation.


0217016303, Possession of a controlled substance, 10-31-2017

Location: 28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Mark Catanach (54)

Deputy was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in regards to a narcotic violation. Correction Officer stated on 10-30-2017 that a pat search was conducted on Inmate Mark Catanach.  A small piece of paper was located in his front shirt pocket. Correction Officer opened the paper and located a brown tar like substance wrapped in plastic. The substance was field tested and tested positive for Heroin.  He was charged and booked accordingly.
