Victim reported on 9-26-2016, an unknown person forged her signature on a check and cashed the check in the amount of $7100.00. Case is still under investigation.

Arrested: Jeanette Trinidad 29 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87507
Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to a reported battery on a peace officer. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim. The victim reported she was working in a cell pod when she observed suspected contraband in the above listed inmates cell. The victim retrieved the item at which time the suspect battered the victim, took the contraband and disposed of it. A cell search of the suspects cell was conducted at which time a suspected narcotic was located inside the cell. The suspect was charged accordingly.

Santa Fe County Deputies responded to a burglary in the 100 block of Paseo C Debaca. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim who stated between the hours of 9:00am-11:00pm on 10-04-16 suspect(s) gained unlawful forced entry into her home. Once entry was gained suspect(s) took various electronics were taken from within the home. The scene was canvassed for evidence. This case remains under invstigation.

Deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to an aggravated burglary. Reporting Party advised electronics, a firearm and currency were stolen from the residence between Oct 2, 2016 and Oct 4, 2016. Case is under investigation

Arrested: Benjamin Martinez 19 YOA, Espanola
Deputies responded to a welfare check of a disabled motor vehicle. Upon receiving the call Dispatch advised deputies the subject sounded as if he was under the influence. Upon arrival Deputies made contact with the above driver and saw signs of impairment. Standard Field Sobriety Tests were conducted which also showed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested, was read Implied Consent and transported to St. Vincent's Hospital for a legal blood draw. Martinez was booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center without incident.

At 2:00 pm this date, homeowner arrived home to find suspects vehicle parked in front of the residence. Suspects were still on scene but fled the area. Law enforcement was called and a traffic stop was initiated on the suspect vehicle. Juvenile suspects were taken into custody.
