On 08-22-16 the victim reported the above travel trailer as stolen from the above location. The victim last saw the trailer in early July. It is not known when the trailer was actually stolen. Suspect information is pending at this time.


Case #0216013190 Battery against household member 08-21-16

Arrested: 39 yoa male Michael Salazar from Espanola NM

SFRECC received a call of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival investigation revealed the suspect had punched, pushed and threw his girlfriend to the ground during an argument. Suspect was arrested without further incident and taken to the Santa Fe County Detention Center.


Case #0216013132 Possession of a controlled substance 08-20-16

Location: Camel Rock Casino (Tesuque)

Arrested: Sophia Daddio 20 yoa female Santa Fe

The above suspect was found by Tesuque Police in possession of methamphetamine while at the Camel Rock Casino. Tesuque contacted the Sheriff's Office and the suspect was arrested and booked without incident.


Case # 0216013093 Motor Vehicle Crash (Fatality)

Location: Interstate 25 mile post 294 (Canoncito)

Deceased: 68 yof (next of kin notification pending)

On Friday August 19th, 2016 at 8:42 pm SFRECC received a 911 call informing of a single vehicle which had crashed and was in the roadway at mile post 294 on Interstate 25. Shortly after SFRECC received a phone call that another vehicle had crashed into the vehicle which was stopped in the roadway.

Investigation revealed the vehicle the deceased's vehicle had hit the concrete median, a guardrail and came to a stop in the left lane of travel with drivers side directly in the lane of travel. Due to no lighting in the area and the vehicle being black in color, the second driver did not see the vehicle stopped in the lane. The second vehicle struck the first vehicle. As a result of the crash the driver passed away from her injuries.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this crash.


Case #0216013140 Unattended Death 08-19-16

SFRECC received a call of an unresponsive female at an address on Camino Cabo. It appears the female passed away over night and appeared to be of natural causes.

Stolen: 3 karat Diamond Ring

Value: 5,899.00

On 08-20-16 the victim reported the above items taken from her residence on 08-19-16. The victim had a service technician at her residence doing some work. One of the workers was in the bedroom  where the ring was taken from. Suspect information is pending.


Case #0216013106, Driving While License is Revoked

Suspect: Sheena Wells, 31, Santa Fe, NM

Charges: Driving While License is Revoked, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic

On Saturday, August 20, 2016 at approximately 3:23am, vehicle was observed unable to maintain it's lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified. A check of the driver's license status was conducted through N.C.I.C. and the driver returned with a revoked driver's license with the 66-8-122G arrest clause attached. Driver was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was seized under the Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 Amended Ordinance 2013-5.


Case #0216013095, Aggravated Assault Against a Household Member

Suspect: Male, 42, Albuquerque, NM

Charges: Aggravated Assault Against a Household Member, Battery Against a Household Member

On Friday, August 19, 2016, at approximately 9:15pm, Deputies responded to the area of the incident location in reference to a domestic dispute. Victim had been involved in an argument with the suspect. During the argument the suspect battered the victim. Suspect also had a weapon with him and the victim felt threatened by the suspect having the weapon. Suspect fled the area prior to law enforcement arrival. Victim did not receive any life threatening injuries as a result of this incident. Incident is still under investigation.


0216013089-Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property- 8-19-16

Between August 9 and August 19, 2016, unknown subjects made forced entry into the above residence and took the above listed items. Items were valued at $2,000. Case is under investigation.

On Friday, August 19, 2016 at approximately 2:00am, Deputy observed the vehicle traveling in the area going the wrong way. A traffic stop was conducted. A check through N.C.I.C. showed that the suspect was revoked with the 66-8-122G arrest clause. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was seized under the Santa Fe County Seizure ordinance 2006-5 amended 2013-5.
