On 09/10/16 Deputies responded to the above address in regards to a Domestic Dispute. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who reported a family member entered her vehicle and stole money from the victims purse. The victim reported the family member then began striking her. The victim had received a small scratch below her right eye and scratches to her arms. The victim had also advised the above male to leave and that he was not welcome on the property at which time he refused to leave. The above individual was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Charges: Assault against a household member
Victim stated she was sleeping in bed when her husband woke her up and began accusing her of different things. Victim said that her husband locked all the bedroom doors and windows and threatened to kill her. The Victim was able to leave the house and was hiding from her husband until law enforcement arrived.
The suspect was reported to have been ingesting methamphetamine.
The suspect was arrested and booked for Assault against a household member.

0216014341 - Possession of Controlled Substance / Tampering with Evidence - 09-09-16

Suspect # 2: Carlos Salazar Sr. - 40 – Espanola - NM
Charges – Donovan Martinez: Possession of Controlled Substance – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Charges – Carlos Salazar Sr.: Tampering with Evidence
During a check on a motorist with a flat tire one of the occupants of the vehicle (Martinez) was observed to drop a small baggie that contained suspected narcotics (Xanax, Heroin). While that suspect was being arrested the other suspect (Salazar Sr.) took the small baggie and apparently threw it away. Dash Camera Video shows Salazar Sr. picking up the baggie from where it had been placed during the search and arrest of Martinez.
Both suspects were booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on their respective charges.

While Deputies were investigating another incident at the above address, the above listed person was yelling obscenities at families and children attending an event. Subject was arrested and booked accordingly.

After Detention Staff conducted a search of the above person and located Suboxone on her person. She was booked accordingly.

Between the hours of 10:50 AM and 1:00 PM, suspect entered an employee break room and took the keys to the above vehicle. Suspect then drove off in said vehicle to an unknown location. Case is under investigation.

Deceased: 80 Year old Male
On 09-09-16 Deputies were dispatched to the above location in regards to an unresponsive male. Upon arrival contact was made with the reporting party, who stated he arrived at the residence to check on his father. Upon entering the residence he found his father not conscious and not breathing. Santa Fe County Med 50 arrived on scene, however the decedent passed away prior to arrival. There were no signs of foul play. The decedent has a history of medical illness.
