Deputies were dispatched to US 84/285 milepost 170 in the Tesuque area, reference to a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, Deputies learned that the above driver crashed into the rear of another vehicle while impaired. Deputies administered sobriety tests and impairment was detected. The driver was arrested and submitted to chemical testing with the results being .26, .26. The driver was transported to jail and booked accordingly. The occupants of the other vehicle were unharmed during the crash.

Charges: DWI, Careless Driving, Driving on a Suspended/Revoked license, and Resisting, Evading, Obstruction an Officer
Above suspect was observed driving at a high rate of speed West on Airport Road in a Maroon GMC Pick-up. A traffic stop was conducted and upon contact with the driver he displayed signs of impairment. Driver also admitted to smoking marijuana prior to driving. SFSTs were adminstered and driver was arrested. The NM implied Consent Advisory was read to the above suspect and agreed to chemical testing. Suspect was given a legal blood draw, results pending. Suspect was transported and booked into Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center without further incident.

Victim: 52 year old male
The victim’s wife stated that her husband had a headache before going to bed at approximately 8:30pm. After getting up in the morning the victim’s wife got dressed for work and then tried to wake her husband up and found that he was cold to the touch. Paramedics and the Office of the Medical Investigator were called to the scene.
At this time the death appears to be from natural causes.
