Victim reported that sometime between 09/09/2013 10:00am and 9/10/2013 at 8:30am some unknown person forced entry into the above business by forcing open the front door. The unknown suspects stole the above listed items.

0213014240 Death Investigation 09/10/2013

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (56 year old male) was found unresponsive and not breathing by family member. CPR was not conducted by paramedics. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On 9/8/13 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Deputies arrived on scene and the suspect was slumped over and incoherent. Deputies were informed that the suspect had an odor of alcohol emitting from her breath. Suspect admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. Suspect was placed under arrest and read the NM Implied Consent in which she refused to take the tests. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location: Cerrillos Rd @ Jaguar (Cerrillos Rd Area)
Arrested: Joseph Anaya 33 years old, Santa Fe NM
Deputy conducted a traffic stop at the above location with the suspect vehicle after it was reported driving the wrong direction on I-25. Drive displayed signs of impairment. SFST’s were conducted and the driver was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was arrested and charged with above charges, and booked into Santa Fe County Jail.

On September 07, 2013 Victim reported that he observed a suspect enter his place of business anf take the above mentioned item. Victim stated the victim ran towards Calle Inez and dropped the purse. This case remains under investigation.

On Friday, September 6, 2013 at 9:50 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle at the location at an excessive rate of speed. Deputies were directing traffic at the location due to a previous motor vehicle crash. The suspect almost struck one of the deputies who was directing traffic. The suspect was found to be under the influence of prescription medication. The suspect submitted to a Blood Test and the results of that test are pending.

Revoked, No Seat Belt, Warrant - Failure to Pay Fines
On Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2:43 the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location attempting to negotiate a left curve. For reason(s) unknown the suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the right side striking a guard rail. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test. A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico driver's license is suspended. The suspect was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. A check with the National Crime Information Center revealed that there was an active Arrest Warrant for suspect issued by the Eddy County Magistrate Court for Failure to Pay Fines

On Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:31 AM the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the location; The altercation turned physical when the suspect struck the victim left side of his head with a beer bottle. The victim sustained a minor injury and declined medical attention.

Charged: Driving on a Revoked Driver's License, Improper plate, No Insurance
On 9/6/13 deputy conducted a traffic stop in which the vehicle was displaying a wrong plate. It was determined that the driver has a revoked driver's license as per the arrest clause. Driver did not have insurance for the vehicle. Driver was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. The vehicle was seized as per Santa Fe County Ordinance.
