On July 6, 2013, deputies responded to the above location due to illegal burning. The suspect refused to extinguish the fire and refused to provide his identity. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Arrested: Violetta Trujillo, 52-year-old female from Pojoaque New Mexico
On 07-05-2013 at about 8:00AM Ms. Trujillo was involved in an altercation with a household member. During the altercation she battered the household member and the Sheriff's Office was called to investigate. She was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

On Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 11:25 AM Driver #1 was operating Vehicle #1 north at the location in the outside lane at a high rate of speed. Driver #2 was operating Vehicle #2 north at the location in the outside lane, directly in front of Vehicle #1. Driver #1 failed to properly judge the closing speed and then attempted to pass Vehicle #2 on the outside shoulder. Driver #1 lost control of Vehicle #1, struck a guardrail and was vaulted over the guardrail. Vehicle #2 came to a controlled stop approximately 1400 feet from the point where Vehicle #1 struck the guardrail, on the outside shoulder. Vehicle #1 continued traveling north (riderless) and the left side of Vehicle #1 struck the right rear quarterpanel of Vehicle #2. Driver #1 was pronounced dead at the scene due to head trauma. Driver #2 and Passenger 32 were uninjured. Driver #1 was wearing a helmet and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.

Location: residence off of Vereda Corta, Santa Fe, NM (off of West Alameda)
On 7/4/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. unknown persons gained entry into her residence and stole a Tiffany silver 4 piece serving set and also a 14 place silver setting set. It is unknown on how persons gained entry into the residence. There is no damage to the residence. Estimated value of items taken is $16,000.00.

On this date the clerk at the above business stated that on 28th of June she found a counterfeit $20 in the morning when she counts the money from the day before. She stated she kept the 20 dollar bill for training with her employees, and had not reported the incident until today.

On Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 9:04 PM deputies responded to a residence at the location in reference to a report of a male with a gun shot wound. Upon arrival the victim was found with an apparent self- inflicted gun shot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Foul play is not suspected in this incident.
