Arrested: Charles Montoya, 36-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 04-21-13 at about 2:30AM Mr. Montoya was involved in an altercation with a family member at his residence. Me. Montoya battered the family member who attempted to call 911. Mr. Montoya grabbed the telephone from the family member preventing them from speaking with the 911 operator. Deputies were dispatched to the residence for the 911 call, conducted an investigation and placed Mr. Montoya under arrest.

Charges: Criminal Trespassing and Drug Paraphenalia
On 04-21-13 the above individual was placed under arrest after he remained at the above location after being told to leave the property. While conducting a search incident to arrest, the male subject was found to be in possession of a silver spoon, hypodermic needle, elastic band, and a package of small white cotton balls. The items are commonly used for injecting heroin into the body. The male subject did indicate he used the items for heroin. The male was booked into Santa Fe County ADC accordingly.

On 04-21-13 the victim reported someone entered his vehicle and removed the above items. The victim last saw the items on April 19th 2013 at about 6:30pm and went out to his vehicle at about 7:00pm on the 21st to find the items gone. Suspect information is pending at this time.

On 4/20/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a battery. At about 12:53 p.m. victim was at the above location getting something to eat. Victim was approached by a female and then the suspect walked behind the victim and picked up his backpack. Victim and suspect then struggled for the backpack and suspect began to strike victim. A second suspect then began to push and hit victim. Victim's wallet fell out of the backpack and 1st suspect picked it up, took $20.00 cash and threw the wallet on the ground. Both suspects left the area. Case still under investigation. A warrant was drafted for the 2nd suspect.

On 4/19/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that between 4:00 p.m. and 4:27 p.m. an acquaintance of the victim pryed open a window to victim's residence and entered within. Victim stated that he arrived home and the suspect was removing items. Victim tried to stop suspect when suspect pulled out a knife and threatened the victim. Victim let the suspect leave the area. Victim stated that suspect stole a DVD player from inside his residence. Estimated value of the items missing is $40.00. Estimated damage amount is $50.00. A warrant was isssued for the suspect.

Charged: Driving while license suspended/revoked
On 4/21/13 deputy was on a DWI sobriety checkpoint on State Road 599 when above vehicle was going through. Deputy made contact with the driver and asked for his license. Driver stated that he did not have it with him. Deputy obtained information on driver and ran him through LEADS in which license came back suspended/revoked with the arrest clause. Driver did not have the ignition interlock in the vehicle. Driver was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. Vehicle was towed.
