Location:  269 Interstate 25, Santa Fe, NM (La Bajada rest area)

On 3/18/12 between the hours of 1730 and 1740  victim stated that she stopped at the rest area.  Victim stated that she got out of her vehicle and when she returned she noticed that her purse which was on the front seat was missing.  Victim stated that inside her purse was her New Mexico driver's license, social security card and misc. credit cards.  She estimated the value of the items to be $75.00.  No damage was done to the vehicle.

Location: Placita Road- La Puebla area, Santa Fe County

Stolen: Jim Bowie Knife with black handle and brown leather case

Victim reported that sometime between March 17, 2012 at 8:00 am and March18, 2012 at 9:00am. Unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim's house and took the above items. Forced entry  was used to gain entry into the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.

Location: Dorothy Hicks Way, Tesuque, NM

Stolen: One (1) 17" Toshiba laptop computer

Victim reported on Saturday March 17, 2012 between the hours of 5:22 pm and 6:39 pm, unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim's house and took the above item. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.

The above listed item was valued at about $2,000.00


Case#:0212004038/Aggravated Assault on a household member/Date 03-18-2012

Location: Finleys Road (Finleys Mobile Home Park, Arroyo Seco Area)

Suspect: Stephanie Salazar, 22 yoa female, Espanola, NM

Charges: Aggravated Assault on a household member to wit: a 12 inch long two prong cooking fork

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a domestic disturbance.  Victim reported the above suspect attempted to stab him with a 12 inch long two prong cooking fork.  Suspect was arrested and booked on the above charges without incident. 


0212004033, DWI, Open Container, 3/17/12

Location: Cerrillos Rd.  Santa Fe

Suspect: Jonathan Walker  Age:21  Santa Fe

Walker was arrested for DWI after showing signs of impairment when passing through a Sobriety Checkpoint and possessing open containers of beer.  His blood/alcohol results are pending analysis due to blood draw.

Location: Vuelta Ventura, Tierra rael Mobile Home Park. Santa Fe, NM

Stolen: Numerous pieces of jewelry, gold and silver to include rings and earrings.

Victim reported that some unknown person(s) within the last two (2) weeks stole jewelry from within her locked bedroom at her residence. The jewelry was stolen from a wooden jewelry box that was not taken from the scene and other jewelry was left behind. There were no signs of forced entry and the victims suspects a family member of taking the jewelry.

The jewelry was valued at about $5700.00


Case#:0212003991/DWI, Careless Driving, Immediate Notice of an Accident/Date: 03-17-2012

Location: Tesuque Village Road (Tesuque Area)

Suspect: Jason Klemmer, 41 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM

Charged: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, and Immediate Notice of an Accident

A traffic stop was conducted at the above address after deputies observed a 1998 Blue Volvo Stationwagon driving on its rim.  The above suspect crashed his vehicle into a stucco pillar located in the 1400 block of Bishops Lodge Road.  The above suspect showed signs of impairment and was administered SFST's.  Suspect denied a breath or blood test.  Suspect was arrested and booked on the above charges. 


Case#0212003983 / DWI, Possession of heroin / Tampering with evidence / 03-16-2012

Deputy Assigned: B. Markley

Location: 100 South Polo Drive, Santa Fe Horse Park

Arrested: Daniel Garcia, 25-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.

    On 03-16-2012 at about 8:55p.m. Deputies were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the Santa Fe Horse Park.  Upon arrival contact was made with the driver of a Turquoise in color Ford Ranger, Mr. Garcia.  Mr. Garcia was found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol and had fresh needle marks on his arms.  He failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest.  While in the back seat of the patrol unit he removed heroin from an unknown location on his person and ingested it .  He was transported the the Hospital for a legal blood draw and treatment for the ingested heroin.  He was then booked onto the jail accordingly.

Location: Walgreens Pharamacy, Edgewood New Mexcio

    On 03-16-2012 at about 8:00p.m. an unidentified female attempted to fill a forged prescription for Oxycodone at the Walgreens Pharamacy.  The Pharamacy Tech. called the Sheriff's Office but the female fled the area in a black passenger car prior to Deputies arrival.

Stolen: Samsung Blue Ray Player, Flat Screen 40inch 3D TV, Bose Acoustic wave music system 3, Apple I POD, 20inch Samsung TV, Damaged side door.

Victim reported on today's date, Friday March 16, 2012 between the times of  8:30 am and 1:00 pm, unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim's house and took the above items. There were  signs of forced entry to the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.
