At approximately 6:40am, deputies were dispatched to the Buffalo Thunder Casino/Resort in reference to a small child, wondering around, unattended. Upon arrival, it discovered, officers wiht the Pojoaque Police Department recieved the call at approximately 5:30am. Officer with Pojoaque attempted to locate the childs mother but were unsuccessful. Deputies also went door to door, knocking, attempting to locate the child's parents/guardian but also to no success. CYFD was called and took custody of the child. Later that day, the mother began calling the front desk, demanding her child back. Detectives with the Sheriff's Office responded and would later arrest the mother, Ms. Montoya for Child Abuse.
Case#2024001298/Kidnapping-Aggravated Battery on Household Member/3-11-24

Arrestee: Isiah Martinez, 23 YOM
Deputies were dispatched to the "Bluffs" apartment complex in reference to a domestic disturbance. Officers with the Santa Fe Police Department were already on scene but determined, the crime occurred at an address in the county. Deputy Corley responded and upon investigation, found that the Victim was held against her will for multiple days where she was periodically, physically abused. Mr. Martinez was on scene and ultimately arrested.

Deputies responded to the residence for a stolen motor vehicle which is reported to have been stolen on this date. No suspect information is known at this time.
Case #2024001303 / Aggravated Assault Against a Household Member - 3/11/2024

Arrested: Marcos Cervantes (31 YO)
Deputes were dispatched to the residence due to the suspect assaulting a threatening his mother with a knife. Arrest warrant was approved for the suspect as he barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to come out. Suspect was apprehended later in the evening without incident and booked accordingly.
Case #2024001280 Aggravated battery against a household member

Arrested: Craig Gaylord, 44 YOA male, Santa Fe
Deputies were dispatched to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect had battered the victim, a household member, during an argument. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Arrested: Adam Benavidez, 22 YOA male, Dixon NM
Deputies observed a vehicle speeding on NM 106 and conducted a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was found to have a revoked license due to a previous DWI. The driver was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Last seen on Sunday, March 3, 2024. Alfonso left his residence and is believed to possibly be staying with an unidentified friend. He was last observed wearing a blue in color, hoodie; beige in color, pants; and black in color, flip-flops.. Alfonso may be in a red in color, 2000, Chevy S10. He has been entered into NCIC.

Deputy conducted a traffic stop on driver for speeding and learned she was operating a motor vehicle while her privilege to drive was revoked due to a prior DWI. Driver was arrested, transported and booked into Santa Fe County Jail.
