Sometime between 0000 and 0300 hours on 6/16/10 an unknown person(s) entered into victim's vehicle as it was parked unsecured in the garage which was left open.  Stolen from inside the vehicle was a black leather wallet.  Victim located the wallet in the area of his residence although 3 credit cards, driver's license and $100 cash was taken.  Victim later learned that one of the credit cards had been used at a gas station in Pojoaque at 0331 hours.  Estimated value of items taken at this time is $115.00.

Location:  residence off of Monte Alto Place, Santa Fe, NM (Eldorado)

On 6/17/10 victim advised that her residence was burglarized sometime between 0710 and 1100 hours today.  Victim advised that a laptop computer, 2 I-pods, a digital camera, and a telescope were stolen.  Forced entry was made through the north door to the master bedroom.  Unknown tool was used to pry door and door was kicked in.  Estimated value of items taken is $2650.00.  Estimated damage amount is pending.

Location:  residence off of Calle Cinturon, Edgewood, NM (off of Horton Road)

Victim:  40 year old male

On 6/17/10 victim was found deceased at about 1030 hours.  Victim went to a concert with 2 friends and arrived at above residence to sleep.  Friends attempted to wake up victim due to finding him unconcious and not breathing.  Friends called 911.  Investigations was called and took over investigation.  It does not appear foul play was involved.

Location:  residence off of Alondra Road, Santa Fe, NM (Eldorado)

Victim:  90 year old female

On 6/17/10 victim was found deceased in her bedroom at above location.  Caretaker found the victim and stated that she was last seen alive at 1700 hours on 6/16/10.  Eldorado Med-30 was on scene.  OMI arrived on scene and took over investigation.  No foul play was involved.  Victim had a severe medical history.

Location:  3900 block of State Road 41, Stanley, NM (Stanley)

On 6/17/10 victim came home to find a window of her residence removed from the tracking.  She heard someone in the camper and called 911.  Upon deputies arrival, deputy searched residence, camper, and vehicles.  No suspects were located. No shoeprints were located due to heavy foot traffic from officers and family.  No damage was done to the window.

Location: State Road 14 and Firehouse Road- Santa Fe

Charges: D.W.I., Reckless Driving, and No Driver's License

Arrested: Jesus Gonzales age: 30

On 06-18-2010, Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the above location. Upon arrival the occupants of the vehicle had fled the area. While investigating the incident the driver returned and was found to be showings signs of intoxication. The driver submitted to the Standardized Field Sobriety Test, during which he showed signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Department for a breath test. The driver submitted to the breah test with a result of .13/.13 BrAC.

On 06-17-10 the victim reported that she was notified by her housesitter that the residence was burglarized. The victim confirmed by phone that the above listed items were removed from the residence. The victim stated that she is in a bitter divorce and that the items were more than likely taken by her estranged husband. No force entry into the residence was located. No latent prints were located.

On 06-17-10 the homeowner reported that the residence was broken into between June 16th, 2010 and June 17th, 2010. The suspects entered through an unlocked window. Once inside the above items were stolen. Suspect information is pending at this time.


0210004899/Abuse of a Child, Felon in possession of a Firearm 06/15/10

Location of Incident: Hopi Rd/Vitalia St., SFNM

Arrested: Phillip Lovato (25YOA)

 

Detectives followd up on a fugitive case.  Suspect listed above was seen jumping in to his cousins vehicle.  A traffic stop was conducted, search incident to arrest, suspect had a loaded .22 cal. handgun, $3111.81 in cash, bag of marijuana and a pill bottle with powder inside.  A field test showed positive for cocaine.  Subject also had three active arrest warrants.  Driver is a juvenile and he had no idea that his cousin had a gun and narcotics on him.  He was interviewed and released to his mother.


0210004969/ Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs/ 06-17-2010

Location: Cerrillos and Airport Road- Santa Fe

Arrested: Armando Chavez age: 27

Charges: D.W.I., Speeding, Possession of Drug Paraphenalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance less than an ounce.

On 06-17-2010 the above individual was operating a 2001 Lexus, heading north Cerrillos Road. The vehicle was observed traveling at about 53 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. Upon making contact with the driver it was observed that he displayed signs of impairment. The driver was asked to submit to SFST's, after which the driver was placed under arrest. While conducting an inventory of his vehicle a scale and a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance. The substance was field tested positive as marijuana. The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center accordingly.
