Victim reported that sometime between the hours of 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2009 and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 4, 2009 an unknown person(s) broke the windshield, rear view mirror, and punctured three tires on his 1994 Toyota Pickup as it was parked unattended at a construction site on Double Arrow Road.  The damage is estimated at over $1000.00.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Arrested: Adal Mendoza - age 21, Santa Fe, NM

The above driver was stopped for not having his headlamps on. He was found to be impaired and was placed under arrest. He additionally had a ten-year-old child in the car at the time of the offense and was charged with child abuse. The driver submitted to a breath test and the results were .12 and .11. He was booked into ADC accordingly.

Stolen: Yamaha Generator, Skill Demo Saw,Makita Band Saw, Bosch Hammer Drill value $4040.00

Sometime between 2030 hrs, on 09-02-09 and 0530 hrs on 09-03-09 someone stole the above listed items from the Victims Truck. The generator was taken from the bed of the truck and the rest of the items were taken from inside an unlocked tool box also in the bed of the truck. There was no signs of  forced entry. 

CASE 0209007863 / DWI FELONY, RESISTING AN OFFICER / 09-02-2009

LOCATION:  CR 106, NEAR HWY 84-285, SAMBRILLO AREA

ARRESTED:  ROBERT L. HALE, 47 YOA MALE, SAMBRILLO AREA

CHARGES:  DWI FLENOY, RESISITNG AN OFFICER

ON THIS DATE DEPUTY LOCATED SUSPECT IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS LANE OF THE ROADWAY ON COUNTY ROAD 106 TRYING TO START HIS 1988 HARLEY DAVISON MOTORCYCLE.  DEPUTY APPROCHED SUSPECT TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND OBSERVED THAT SUSPECT APPEARED TO BE INTOXICATED.  DEPUTY ASKED FOR SUSPECTS ID AND HE REFUSED AND TRYED TO START THE BIKE AGAIN.  DEPUTY TOLD SUSPECT TO GET OFF OF BIKE AND HE REFUSED AND TRYED TO TAKE OFF ON MOTORCYCLE.  DEPUTY REMOVED SUSPECT FROM THE MOTORCYCLE AND TOOK HIM TO THE GROUND.  INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT SUSPECT WAS INTOXICATED AND REFUSED BREATHT TEST WHEN REQUESTED.  INVESTIGATION FOUND WHERE SUSPECT HAD THREE OTHER DWI CONVECTIONS.  SUSPECT WAS TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL SO A SEARCH WARRANT COULD BE SERVED AND HIS BLOOD WAS DRAWN.  SUSPECT WAS BOOKED AT THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER ON THE ABOVE LISTED CHARGES.  THE MOTORCYCLE WAS SEIZED AT THIS POINT.

Suspect: Clifford Montano  Age: 46    San Jose  NM

Clifford Montano was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Contributing to the delinquency of a minor, his 14 yr. old son and shoplifting when he was apprehended by an off duty Santa Fe Police Officer.  Montano was observed running from the store being pursued by a store clerk with a bottle of liquor he had just shoplifted.  Montano was turned over to Deputy Champlin for prosecution.

Sometime between August 30, 2009 at approximately 11:00am and the above date at about 11:00am and September 1, 2009 at approximately 7:00pm, unknown person(s) removed the above item from the residence. The victim reported that the suspect had to disconnect the tank to take it. Suspect information is pending.

Victim stated he left his residence on August 28th, 2009 and returned home on August 31st, 2009 and noticed the above items missing. The victim stated that he had closed the shed before leaving but it was unlocked. A male subject was seen leaving the area on 08-28-08 at about 5:00pm in an unknown type of car. Suspect information is pending

On this date it was reported to Deputies that a 56 year old male subject had passed away on natural causes after being diagnosed with cancer in 2006. There were no signs of foul play and no reason to believe that it was anything other than natural causes.

Stolen: 2003 tan Ford Expedition SUV, Value $7500.00

Victim reported between Tuesday September 1, 2009 at 9:30pm and Wednesday September 2, 2009 at 6:00am an unknown person(s) stole the above vehicle. A check with dispatch reveled that the a aforementioned vehicle was involved in a Motor Vehicle Crash Hit and Run in the City of Santa Fe at 10:49pm on Tuesday night. The vehicle was abandoned and no driver could be located. Victim states she might have left an extra set of keys in the vehicle.
