On 7/25/08 driver was stopped for traveling 58 mph in a 45 mph zone. Driver admitted to drinking a 1/2 pint of hard liquor. Driver showed signs of impairment during the SFST's. Driver was arrested and she had a BrAC of .13, .12. Driver also has a suspended driver's license. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Deputies responded to above location to investigate a reported domestic dispute. While on-scene Deputies learned that the above named male individual was violating an order of protection by being at the residence with a person protected by the court order. The male suspect was arrested and booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Charges: Abandonment or Abuse of a child, Battery Against a Household Member and assault against a household member
Deputies responded to a report of a male individual battering a female and child in the parking lot at above location. Deputies arrived and found that a domestic dispute had transpired between the above listed person and his wife. Deputies learned that the male was intoxicated and had began to batter his child in the parking lot. Following the investigation the suspect was charged with above listed charges.

Stolen: A Tool Box valued at $1,600.00
The victim reported that he placed a tool box by the curb near the break room but realized that he forgot to clock out. The victim left the area on a golf cart, clocked out and returned to collect his tool box. When the victim returned, he found that his tool box had been stolen.

Deputies responded to a report of a child left alone at home. Deputies arrived and found a 6 year old female child at home alone. The investigation revealed that the child was left by her parents with a grandfather so they could run errands in town. The grandfather left the residence, leaving the child behind. Parents arrived and took custody of their child and the grandfather could not be located at the time of the report.

Charged: Agg. DWI, Driver must be licensed, Open Container
On 7/26/08 at 0016 hours a traffic stop was conducted near the above intersection as the above vehicle had been observed parked at the eastbound Rufina stop sign for an extended period of time. Upon making contact with the driver, he was identified as the above suspect. Suspect displayed several signs of impairment and submitted to SFST's. Suspect was then taken into custody and agreed to submit to a breath test. BrAC results were .16, .15. Suspect did not have a valid driver's license. An open 12 oz. can of Budweiser was found behind the passenger seat. Suspect was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Charged: Shooting at or from a motor vehicle, bench warrant out of Rio Arriba Magistrate Court charging failure to appear
On 7/25/08 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a subject shooting from a motor vehicle. Complainant advised that suspect shot 2 rounds and left the area. Complainant gave a vehicle description and a license plate #. Deputies located vehicle and witness stated that suspect had shot in the air and also had shot himself in the leg. Suspect was transported to Espanola Hospital and then was arrested for shooting at or from a motor vehicle and a bench warrant out of Rio Arriba County for failure to appear. Suspect was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On 7/24/08 at approx 0300hrs/am suspects walked into the Allsups store located on NM 14/Vista Del Norte, walked around the counter and picked up 3 bottles(pints) of JIM BEAM whiskeyand returned to the front counter. The clerk refused to sell to the suspects, so one of the suspects threw one of the bottles at the clerk ,hitting him on the chin, and cutting him. The suspects then grabbed the other 2 bottles and ran out of the store. Boths suspect were located at the County housing drinking the stolen whiskey. Suspects were positively identified, arrested and charged accordingly.
