On Tuesday, July 6th, 2021, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival, it was found that the incident involved a child. Based on the investigation, it was found that the above suspect battered the victim. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. There, he was booked on a single count of Abandonment or Abuse of a Child.
