On Sunday, January 31st, 2021, deputies responded to the above location in reference to someone actively shooting a firearm at multiple people. While deputies were en route, dispatch was advised multiple rounds had been fired and the victims were fleeing the scene. Once on scene deputies detained the above individual without incident. Contact was made with the victims and they advised after arriving at the residence a verbal argument ensued. The suspect obtained a firearm and struck one of the victims on the head. The suspect then began discharging rounds at the victims as they fled. The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Location: Residence in the Las Companas area
Stolen: Several thousand dollars worth of jewelry
The victim reported they recently moved to a new home in the Las Companas area. Sometime during the move several items of jewelry, watches and their passports went missing. They provided information for several people who had been involved in the move and associated activities . The investigation is ongoing.

Location: Avenida Del Sur/Richards Avenue (Spur Trailhead)
Stolen: Wallet, Blue and White Purse, Credit Cards, $300 cash
On Sunday, January 31st, 2021, deputies responded to the above location in reference to an after the fact burglary. Contact was made with the victim who advised between 1:50 pm and 2:50 pm, unknown suspects gained forced entry into a vehicle and stole the above mentioned items. Case remains under investigation.

Location: Spur trailhead located at Avenida Del Sur and Richards Ave.
The victim reported on 2-1-21 between the hours of 2:00pm and 2:50pm someone broke into their vehicle while it was parked at the trailhead. The suspect(s) broke a window and stole the victim's purse containing several items.

On Sunday, January 31st, 2021, deputies responded to the above location for a report of a not conscious and not breathing male. Upon arrival, it was found that the individual had passed away. OMI was summoned to the location and no signs of foul play were discovered.

The victim reported on 2-1-21 between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm someone broke a bathroom window and entered their home. The suspect(s) rummaged through some drawers but did not steal anything that the victim is aware of at this time.

Deceased: 88-year-old male from Edgewood N.M.
On 1-30-21 at about 5:30pm an 88-year-old male passed away in his residence, while in the presence of family members. The investigation revealed no signs of foul play and his passing appears to be from natural causes. .

On Friday, January 29, 2021 at 4:41pm the above male crashed his vehicle and fled the scene.When deputies arrived on scene the male attempted to flee from them and he was detained. Male showed signs of impairment and refused standardized field sobriety tests. Suspect was charged accordingly.

Victim indicated that she received a call from someone saying they were the fraud department. They told the female to avoid penalties she would have to purchase 1,300 dollars worth of gift cards. The victim did so and gave the caller the card numbers and pins. Case is under investigation.

Suspect: Manuel Torres / 39yom / Santa Fe, NM
Deputies were dispatch to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to Correctional Officers finding narcotics on the above male. Suspect admitted that the narcotics were his and he was rebooked into jail.
