Suspect: Eric Garcia – 33 - Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Resisting / Evading – Battery on a Peace Officer
Deputies went to residence due to a caller advising two brothers were fighting and one brother retrieved a firearm and began shooting in the air stating he wanted to kill someone.
Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the above suspect. Suspect was not compliant to commands and ran from the area where a foot pursuit ensued. Suspect ran through a gate in the back of the property into an arroyo where he turned and faced Dep. Trujillo and Dep. Garcia. Dep. Deputies took the suspect to the ground where an altercation ensued. Suspect while on the ground struck Dep. Garcia with a closed fist on the left side of his face, suspect was placed into handcuffs.
Suspect was placed into the back of a patrol unit where he attempted kick out the rear window and defecated on the floor boards and seat.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Suspect: Alonzo “AJ” Moya – 28 - Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon against a household member – Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon – Aggravated Battery against a household member.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival investigation revealed a verbal argument that turned physical when the suspect attempted to stab his brother with a kitchen knife. The suspect’s father intervened by attempting to take the knife away from the suspect at which time he sustained a cut on his hand. Victims were able to tackle the suspect to the ground and in doing so were bit, causing lacerations on their arms.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Location: 60 block of Moya Road, Santa Fe, NM
Deceased: Male subject 66 yoa, Santa Fe, NM
Deputies responded to above location in reference to an ambulance assistance call. Upon arrival to the location, medic personnel were giving CPR to the male individual, but were unsuccessful. The deceased suffered from stage 4 cancer. OMI arrived on scene. No signs of foul play.

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the adult detention center in reference to the above mentioned male subject with an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for failing to comply resulting from a DWI charge. The male subject was re-booked without incident,

Charges: Possession of Suboxone – Possession of Methamphetamine
Deputy was dispatched to the Adult Detention Facility in reference to a narcotics violation. Upon arrival, contact was made with Corrections staff who advised the above suspect was being uncooperative while Corrections Officers were conducting an inmate pat down. Correction Officer's restrained the inmate and contraband was located on his waist-band area. Inmate was read his Miranda Rights and was uncooperative with his statement.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Charges: DWI – Open Container – Roadways laned for Traffic – Unregistered Vehicle – Driver to be Licensed
On Saturday May 12, 2018 at approximately 10:40 pm deputies responded to the area of US 84/285 mile Marker 171 southbound for a report of a reckless driver
The vehicle and the driver was contacted and the driver was observed to have an odor of alcohol on his breath and/or person. The driver also had slurred speech and bloodshot watery eyes.
The driver admitted that he was drunk. The driver refused to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and urinated along the side of the road. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI. The driver refused to submit to a breath test. The driver’s vehicle was towed from the location.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

On Friday May 11, 2018 Deputies were dispatched to the aforementioned location in reference to a burglary in progress. Victim reported they found two males with tattoos attempting to steal items from the vehicle. Suspects fled the area in a black SUV. Case pending further investigation.
