On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at approximately 5:08pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to the suspect having an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Warrant was confirmed and the suspect was arrested for the outstanding arrest warrant. The original charge for the warrant was Battery. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Deceased: Male, 77, Santa Fe, NM
On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at approximately 3:59pm, deputy responded to location in reference to a male who was not conscious and not breathing. Medics arrived on scene and life-saving procedures were unsuccessful. The Office of the Medical Investigator responded to the scene. There were no signs of foul play and the death appears to be of natural causes.

On Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at approximately 4:46pm, deputy responded to location in reference to a larceny. An unknown suspect(s) removed several tools and a 10' wooden trailer from the property. The trailer was not entered into N.C.I.C. at this time for lack of information about the trailer. Investigation is ongoing.

Deputy was dispacthed the Kicks 66 Gas Station in refernce to an intoxicated person. Upon contact with above listed, a NCIC check revealed that he had three warrants for his arrest. Martinez was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County ADC accordingly.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at approximately 6:30pm, suspect was located and placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Suspect had a warrant for his arrest for the charges of Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer; and Battery Against a Household Member. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at approximately 6:05pm, deputy responded to location in reference to an inmate who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Suspect had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to comply with conditions of release. Suspect was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Stolen: Electronics, jewelry
Deputies responded to the listed location where it was learned two unlocked vehicles had been burglarized during the night. The listed items were taken from the vehicles. The case is under investigation.

Suspect: James Carr
Deputies responded to the listed area in reference to a male driver in a gold Honda Pilot, driving in the wrong lane of traffic nearly causing a crash. Deputies observed the described vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 25. Deputies attempted a traffic stop and vehicle fled. Deputies pursued the vehicle until it came to a stop at Old Las Vegas Hwy and US 285. Suspect refused to exit vehicle and was taken into custody after a brief stand off. Suspect was arrested and booked on the listed charges.

Suspect: Margarita Martinez – 36 - Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance
While at ADF serving a warrant, Deputy observed suspect sitting on the floor with blankets draped over her. Suspect was advised by a corrections officer to stand up and go towards a restroom to be searched. Jail staff advised suspect to drop the blankets on the floor and suspect did so. Jail staff checked the blankets and a folded paper fell out with two large rock crystal items inside.
The deputy conducted a field test which tested positive for meth.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).
0218005007 – Larceny – 04-02-18

Location: Star Court – La Cienega
Suspects: Two Hispanic Males
Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a larceny. Victim advised that at approximately 10:40 p.m., he observed two Hispanic males loading up his black & white Bobcat claw attachment onto a hitched trailer. Victim said the suspects fled when they saw him and stopped near Entrada la Cienega & Camino San Jose to unhitch the trailer. Victim recovered the stolen property and said the suspect’s drove towards the I-25 area.
