Deputy was dispatched to the 177 mile marker of US 84/285 to assist Pojoaque Police Department with a possible intoxicated driver. Deputy arrived on scene and was advised that the vehicle was observed driving on US 84/285 with a camper style trailer unattached to the hitch on the truck and being dragged along by the safety chains. The Deputy contacted the driver who advised he had been drinking the day prior. On the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests signs of impairment were observed. The driver was placed under arrest for DWI. The driver submitted two breath samples the results of which were 0.17g/210L and 0.18g/210L. It was also learned that the driver had been involved in a hit and run crash in Espanola.
The vehicle was seized due to a prior DWI in accordance with Santa Fe County Ordinance.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Victim reported the burglary occurred sometime between 7pm on 6-20-2018 and 4:45am this morning. Unknown suspect(s) entered the establishment through the front door by typing the numbers into the key pad. Upon entry of the business, force entry was gained into a room and above items were stolen. Case is under investigation.

Deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a narcotic violation. It was learned that the above suspect was observed by a correction staff attempting to slip an unknown item underneath another inmates cell door and then recovered the item. A search was conducted on the suspect and a black in color tar like substance was located falling from the suspects trousers. Suspect was charged and re-booked accordingly.

Shanel Anaya age: 34
Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a located stolen motor vehicle that was reported on 6-17-2018. Contact was made with the above individuals. Shanel admitted to having possession of the motor vehicle. In addition, Charles was witnessed by the victims driving the motor vehicle in the property. The 2005 Chrysler was recovered and given back to the owners. Both individuals were arrested and charged accordingly.
