On 03/22/17 the above individual was placed under arrest after being found in the victims residence. During the investigation it was determined there was a valid restraining order against the above individual. The above individual was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and a pipe to ingest the substance. The above individual was placed under arrest and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Devlin Lara, 40, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Criminal Damage to Property of a Household Member, Assault Against a Household Member, Interference with Communications
On Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at approximately 11:41pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. It was learned that the suspect had broken several items around the residence during an argument. The value of the damaged items was more than $1000. Victim was in fear of receiving an immediate battery from the suspect and suspect broke the victim's phone when she tried to call for help. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Suspect: Justin Leyba, 29, Chimayo, NM
Vehicle: 2004 silver Chevy Cavelier
Charges: Robbery, Battery Against a Household Member, Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer, Interference with Communications, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License is Revoked
On Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at approximately 7:12pm deputies began responding to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Deputies were advised that the suspect had left the area in the above vehicle. Deputies observed the vehicle on State Road 503 and made contact with the driver, the suspect. It was learned the suspect had forcefully taken the victim's wallet, who is a household member. The victim tried to get his wallet back and the suspect battered the victim. Suspect resisted officers when they were detaining him. Suspect admitted to recently using drugs and was found in possession of a syringe. Suspect was found to also have a revoked driver's license. The suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident. Vehicle was not seized under the seizure ordinance, due to not finding out the suspect was revoked until the vehicle had been returned to family of the registered owner.

Victim reported that he was contacted by his credit reporting agency of possible fraudulent charges. Upon checking the credit report, it was determined that unknown suspects had used victims personal information to open two retail credit accounts with balances totaling $1000. Case is under investigation.

Incident Location: Cities of Gold Hotel
On the aforementioned date, deputies responded to a report of a stole motor vehicle. Upon speaking with the victim, he advised that he met an unidentified female subject at the casino in the early morning hours. The individual advised that she accompanied him back to his hotel room for beverages. The victim advised that he awoke this morning to find his keys missing and his vehicle gone from the parking lot outside the hotel. This case is currently under investigation.

Stolen: 55" television, gaming system with misc. games, loose change and a silver .38 caliber Taurus revolver. Total value of approximately $1,400.00
The victim reported someone forced entry into their home by prying open the front door sometime between 7:00am and midnight on 3-20-17. The above items were reported stolen from inside the home.
