Location: State Road 50 Glorieta,NM     (La Joya)

Deputies were dispatched to listed area in reference to shots being fired. Upon arrival, it was discovered that there was a victim of a shooting. The victim had been transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the shooting. The case is currently being investigated.


Case #0216012534, Assault Against a Household Member

Location: Quail Run Drive, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: Male, 52, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Melecio Gallegos, 22, Santa Fe, NM

On Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at approximately 8:13pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Suspect and victim (father and son) were involved in an argument and during the argument the suspect threatened to batter the victim. Victim was in fear of receiving a battery from the suspect. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one was injured as a result of this incident.

Location- 100 Block of South San Mateo

Person Arrested- Bertha Boling 63 yo Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the above location regarding a domestic dispute. Upon investigation, it was determined that the above listed person battered the victim and damaged property of the victim. She was booked accordingly.

Person Arrested- Nanette Trujillo 43 yo Santa Fe

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to comply with conditions of probation. She was booked accordingly.

Person Arrested- Loretta Bowker 48 yo Santa Fe

Subject was found to have warrant for violating conditions of release. She was booked accordingly.


Case #0216012464, Criminal Damage to Property

Assigned Deputy: M. Matison

Location: Shiprock Peak, Santa Fe, NM

On Monday, August 8, 2016 at approximately 11:23pm, Deputies responded to the area in reference to damage to multiple vehicles. Four vehicles in the area had one window broken as well as one window to a residence. Unknown suspect(s) broke the windows. Investigation is ongoing.

Items Taken- Electronics

Value of items- $6,000.

Between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, unknown subjects forced entry into the above residence and took the above items.  Case is under investigation.

Location- 700 Block of Dinkle Road Edgewood, NM

Items taken- Firearms, and electronics

Value of items taken- $3,420.

Between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm, unknown subjects entered the above residence and took the above listed items.  Case is under investigation.

Person Arrested- Neal Quentano 26 yo Santa Fe

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to pay fines as ordered by the court.  He was booked accordingly.

Location- West Saddleback Mesa/Mineral Hill

Items Taken- Currency and medication

Victim reported that he met a friend at the rail runner station and followed him back to the above listed location at which time two unknown males approached his vehicle, pointed a gun at him and demanded the above listed items.  Subjects then fled on foot.  Case is under investigation.
