During the course of a traffic stop it was discovered the driver had two active bench warrants for his arrest. The driver was taken into custody and booked at SFADC, without incident.


Case 2025003225/ Agg Indecent exposure/6-2-25

Assigned: Deputy V. Baca

Entering: Cpl. Talamante

Location: Buffalo Thunder Trail

Arrested: Shawn Lane, 62 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to the location regarding a male exposing himself to two juvenile females. Deputies learned through investigation that the male intentionally exposed himself to the two juvenile individuals and was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe ADC. 


Case 2025003224/ DWI, careless driving/6-2-25

Assigned: Deputy J. Flores-Ramirez

Location: Paseo Nopal, Santa Fe, NM 

Arrested: Samuel Valtierra- Almeraz, 27 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision. Upon contact with the driver of the vehicle, it was determined that he showed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and agreed to chemical testing, resulting in .11 BrAC, .10 BrAC. The suspect was booked into ADC


2025003220 / Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle / 6-1-2025

Location: Rio Vista Run  La Puebla, NM

Vehicle stolen: Ford Taurus red NM 961WJT

Deputies responded to scene after caller reported her vehicle being stolen. There are no suspects and vehicle was entered into NCIC.


2025003216 / DWI / 6-1-2025

Deputy Assigned: Brandon Baca

Supervisor Entering: Lt. Michael Martinez

Location: Interstae 25 milepost 297

Arrested: Andrea Luna        Age: 35    Pecos, NM

RECC received a call from an off duty officer reporting a reckless driver southbound on Interstate 25 near milepost 297. Deputiies located the vvehicle exiting the Interstate and initiated a traffic stop on Old Pecos Trail near Cordova Road. COntact was made with the driver and she dispalyed signs of impairment. The driver was asked to exit the vehicle and submit to sobriety testing. The driver displayed signs of immpairment and was arrested. The driver submitted to chemical testing and blew below .08. The driver refused to blood testing and was taken to the hospital for unrelated issues. The driver was admitted to the hospital and she was released but charged. 


2025003214 / Warrant service / 06-01-2025

Assigned: Deputy F. Villicana

Location: 5000 blk of Airport Rd Santa Fe, NM

Arrest: Miguel Bencomo 56 YOM

Deputy conducted a traffic stop and identified the male as the driver. It was learned he had an active warrant for failure to pay fines on original charges of battery against a household member. Subject was placed under arrest, transported and booked into jail. 


Case 2025003209/Agg DWI, no drivers license/ 5-31-25

Assigned: J. Watson

Entering: Cpl. Talmante

Location: US HWY 84/285/MM 172, Tesuque, NM 

Arrested: Kevin Telon, 20 YOM

Deputies were dispatched to the location to assist Tesuque PD with a traffic stop for a possible DUI. Deputies made contact with the driver, and signs of impairment were observed. SFSTs were conducted, further signs of impairment were observed, and the driver was taken into custody. The driver submitted to a breath test resulting in .25/.26. The driver was booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident. 


Case 2025003211/ Battery against a household member/ 6-1-25

Location: Agua De Oro

Arrested: Joseph Benavidez, 66 YOM

 Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a possible fight. Upon arrival, the investigation determined that the suspect got into a dispute with his adult son. The victim in the matter intervened, and the suspect pushed her to the ground, causing minor injury.  The suspect was arrested and booked without incident.


Case #2025003202 Violation of a Temporary Restraining Order

Location: Lugar De Madison, Santa Fe

Summons: Timothy Dorton, 67 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies were dispatched to the location in reference to a violation of a Temporary Restraining Order/Order of Protection (TRO). Deputies were advised the suspect had been served a TRO earlier in the day. The suspect then violated the TRO by texting the victim. Deputies contacted the suspect who admitted to violating the TRO. A summons was issued due to the suspect being hospitalized for unrelated health issues.  


Case #2025003197/ Felon in Possession of a Firearm/ DUI/ Reckless Driving/ 5/31/25

Assigned- Deputy J. Watson

Entering- Corporal D. Moore

Arrested- Kristen Cleverly (39 year old female/ Prescott, AZ)

Location- I25 @ MM 297

Deputies were dispatched to I25 at the east county line in reference to a wrong way driver, going southbound in the northbound lanes. The initial call came out at MM 308, and the vehicle was headed into Santa Fe County. Sgt. Webb located the vehicle, still going the wrong way and conducted a traffic stop at mm 297. Deputies and NMSP shut down the northbound lanes of I25, diverting traffic off at the 297. The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI. Upon inventory of the vehicle, two firearms were located, and it was discovered that the driver was a convicted felon. The vehicle was towed to the SFSO pending a search warrant. The driver agreed to a blood draw, and the results are still pending. She was booked at ADC.
