Deputies were dispatched to mile marker 170 on US 84/285 regarding a wrong way driver. A white in color Jeep was located traveling South in the North bound lanes of travel at MM 175. The above listed person was contacted and had the odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from his breath. Subject was administered field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested and booked without incident.

Deputy Eccles was dispatched to the incident location in reference to burglary. Upon arrival, the victim advised his home was burglarized on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, between the hours of 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The victim reported he arrived home and found his glass french doors located on the west end of the residence to be wide open but no signs of forced entry were observed. The victim noticed the listed items stolen from his residence. It was later learned three of the stolen checks were used at a Walmart in Albuquerque, NM. Case is under investigation.

Deputy Lattin was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate found in possession of a controlled substance. Upon arrival the listed suspect was found by jail staff to be in possession of a brown tar like substance consistent with heroin and an orange film like substance consistent with suboxone. Suspect was rebooked accordingly.

Victim reported to Deputy that sometime between December 2016 and April 2017 unknown persons fraudulently used the victims information to open accounts for services. Case is under investigation.

Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, No Insurance
On Monday, May 1, 2017 at approximately 11:33pm, Deputy responded to the area in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon checking the area, Deputy located the vehicle at location due to it having been involved in a crash. Contact was made with the suspect, who was the driver. Suspect displayed signs of impairment and was asked to submit to the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. During the tests the driver showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and refused to submit to a breath test. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without Incident. The vehicle was not seized due to the suspect not having any prior DWIs.
