Suspect: Sergio Barraza-Guizar     Age: 34      Santa Fe,NM

Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to a possible sexual assault. Upon arrival, it was learned that the suspect had exposed his private area to the victim. Victim called Law Enforcement immediately to report the incident. Suspect admitted to confronting the victim but denied exposing himself. The suspect was arrested and taken to jail where he was booked accordingly.

Suspect: Rain Maddux, 19, Santa Fe, NM

On Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 11:35pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to criminal damage to property. The suspect had damaged a sprinkler that was in his cell, causing the cell the flood. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Location: 28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM (Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center)

Arrested: Raymond Duran 45 yoa male, Penasco NM

Charges: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The above suspect was in the booking area of the above location.  During a search Detention Officers found an unloaded syringe hidden in the above suspects shoe.  The above suspect admitted to the syringe being his, and was booked into the jai on the above charge without further incident.

Location: 3400 block of Hyde Park Road, Santa Fe, NM

Victim: Female, 46, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle: 2011 Blue Acura SUV

Charges: Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property

On Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 9:10pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to the burglary of a motor vehicle. An unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the vehicle by breaking a window and removing a purse containing personal items. Investigation is ongoing.


0216006233 / Assault against a household member, Interference with communications / 04-27-16

Location: Residence on Anthracite Ave. (Cerrillos New Mexico)

Arrested: Maxwell Palmer, 25-year-old male from Cerrillos New Mexico

On 04-26-16 at about 9:00pm Mr. Palmer was involved in a dispute with a family member.  Mr. Palmer assaulted the family member and prevented them from using their telephone to call for help.  He fled the scene prior to Deputies arrival and a warrant for his arrest was obtained.  He returned to the residence around 3:00am.  Deputies arrived and took him into custody without incident. 


0216006221-DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance- 4-26-16

Location- 100 Block of West Gutierrez

Person Arrested- Daniel Vigil 35 yo Velarde

The above person was stopped for a traffic violation, upon contacting the driver an odor of an intoxicant was coming from his breath.  Field sobriety tests were administered and he showed signs of impairment.. While doing an inventory search of the vehicle, a controlled substance was located. Subject was arrested and booked accordingly.

Victim stated that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) informed him that someone had filed a federal tax return under his name.

Location: Lauro Rd – Santa Fe

Victim stated that Turbo Tax alerted her that someone used her information to try and file income tax returns in her name. The victim stated that this happened to at least 15 of her co-workers and they suspect a breach in their payroll system.

Victim stated that his nephew stole a check from his checkbook and cashed it for $100.00 at a local bank.


0216006200 - Battery against a Household Member - 04-26-16

Location: Pojoaque High School

Victim: Female 17 years old

Suspect: Benito Maestas – 18 - Santa Cruz, NM

Charges: Battery against a Household Member

The suspect and the victim were in the process of ending a relationship when the suspect grabbed the victim’s cell phone and started to go through it. While the argument started in school it moved to the suspects’ vehicle out in the parking lot. While in the vehicle the suspect punched the victim on the left arm and then pushed her against the passenger’s side door. The victim had visible injuries to both of her arms that were consistent with her story.

The suspect was arrested and booked on the above listed charge.
