Charges: Battery Upon a Peace Officer; Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer; Driving While License Revoked
On Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at approximately 2:23am, Deputy made contact with suspect's brother. While deputy had contact with suspect's brother, suspect drove the vehicle to the scene and became agitated. A check of the suspect's driver's license through N.C.I.C. revealed he was driving on a revoked driver's license with the 66-8-122G arrest clause attached. While placing the suspect under arrest, suspect pulled away and resisted arrest. While suspect was being placed in a patrol vehicle, suspect kicked one of the deputies. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. Vehicle was seized under Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 Amended Ordinance 2013-5. No one received any life threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Location: Interstate 25 mile marker 273, Santa Fe, NM, 87508 ( Santa Fe area)
Arrested: Santonita Lucero, 46 years old, Santa Fe, NM, 87505
Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies observed a vehicle at mile marker 273 on Interstate 25 that appeared it was involved in a motor vehicle collision. Deputies stopped and discovered a motor vehicle crash did occur involving 2 vehicles. The crash scene was investigated at which time a driver of a vehicle (Santonita Lucero) had an odor of alcoholic beverages omitting from her breath. The driver was transported to the St. Vincents Hospital with her 10 year old child. The crash investigation also revealed Santonita Lucero was at fault for the crash. Deputies also proceeded to the hospital at which time SFST's were adminstered. Santonita showed signs of impariment and upon release from the hospital was placed under arrest. A blood draw was conducted at the hospital. Santonita was booked into the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center.

On above date Deputies were dispatched to the Apache Ridge Area in reference to a located missing person. Family members had found the victim deceased. Search and rescue assisted in taking the victim out of the area. No foul play is suspected. Case is under Investigation.

Deputies were dispatched to the above address regarding a domestic dispute. Upon investigation it was found that the above listed subject had battered his wife. He was booked accordingly.

Decedent: 87 year old female
On 08-23-16 Deputies responded to an Assisting Ambulance call at the above location for an unresponsive female. Upon arrival life saving techniques were attempted. However, the female passed away. There were no signs foul play.
